KAYAKING RIO DULCE AND LIVINGSTON

ON THIS TOUR YOU WILL:
We depart from the cruise terminal in a certified boat to the Rio Dulce riding alongside the shore line. You will enjoy the variety of seagulls, pelicans, knights and other bird species from the region as well as some migratory ones; you will also see the fishermen on their daily activities.
As you enter the Rio Dulce Canyon a feeling of ease will overtake you as you contemplate the 300 foot walls full of lush vegetation and jungle sound. There you will board your kayak and go downstream to the river Tamejas. You will kayak for about 45 minutes to reach the Tenamit Resort where you will enjoy a buffet style lunch.
After a delicious meal and some rest and relaxation time, we will head back to the terminal, not before making a stop at the village of Livingston for a short walking tour. This village was founded in 1735 by 150 black Caribbean, who fled from Haiti to the island of Saint Vincent and from there to Guatemala.
After the visit you will return to the to the cruise terminal.
