We first depart from the cruise terminal by boat, cruising along the shores to the village of Livingston; where we will stop to use the restrooms, try some local fruit and pick-up bottled water.

Then we’re off to visit Rio Dulce Canyon with its 300 feet walls full of vegetation, the Hot Water Springs, Cow’s cave and Pioneer’s Wall were the pirates who once lived here, wrote their names.

 

On the way to the Children’s School, we will see how the natives catch the famous silver fish, catch-of-the-day.    Visit the Tortilla Making Stop, to learn how the tortillas are made and try one with black beans, homemade hot sauce or plain sea salt  humm….delicious!.

At the school, the children will gather to receive their gifts/donations, and sing folkloric songs and spend time interacting with us. From there we go to visit the Hot Water Springs and if desired, go inside the cave where Juan Tatin the pirate, used to hide in.

 

We will also see the Lake of Lilies and Birds Island, stop for lunch at Posada El Delfín.  After lunch we will take a brief walking tour of Livingston, there you will be able to buy souvenirs and other things before we head back to the terminal 1.5 hours before departure.
